Nicolena Creates Art Gallery at KW CITY’s mission is to support artists and the community simultaneously through events that promote both the artist and local charities. The gallery does not collect the customary gallery commission from artists, but rather, participating artists are asked to donate a portion of sales to various local nonprofits chosen by the gallery. Thanks to the sponsorship of KWCity, whose office also serves as an art gallery/showroom for Nicolena’s art, there is an opportunity to share the gift of this space further in the community by hosting guest artist events, fundraisers and shows.

Detroit is home to some of the most amazing artists. No collector should have to go outside of this city to find art they love and artists to believe in. Getting seen by collectors isn’t easy, and approaching galleries can be intimidating for many artists and art collectors alike. Nicolena Creates Art Gallery is welcoming to artists of all levels, to the art connoisseur and the novice collector alike. The artists who show here have in common their friendly and approachable nature ,#. their beautiful work and the strong desire to contribute to their community. Nicolena Stubbs is delighted to say that every artist she has approached with the gallery’s concept has been absolutely eager to participate and to donate a generous portion of all works sold to local nonprofits.
